I mentioned in my post yesterday that I went camping a couple of weeks ago. I first went camping when I was about 3 months old:
Then about a month ago, Daddy took me camping with our friends. I loved sitting around the campfire:
I’m scared of hot things, so daddy told me it was hot and I stayed away. I tried to blow it out, but it was too big. They kept talking about dogs, and I was confused because I didn’t see any dogs, so I asked “dog?” Then Daddy explained to me that we were eating hot dogs for dinner. I love dogs, so I was thrilled. They’re good with ketchup, in case you’re wondering.
We enjoyed telling spooky stories around the campfire. Something about computer codes, I think. They didn’t phase me a bit:
Daddy held me by the fireside until I fell asleep, then put me in a sleeping bag in our tent, where I slept like a log the whole night. The next morning we went for a bike ride. It was kind of bumpy, which scared Charlie. I tried to keep him calm:
I couldn’t wait to get back home to Mommy and Cassie, but I was excited when my grandparents invited the whole family to go camping with them a couple weeks later. Since I was a pro at roastin’ hot dogs from my previous camping trip, I showed Mommy the proper way to do it:
I loved playing in the dirt, and I didn’t know why everyone got so excited when they saw me playing in it at dinner time:
And yes, I did eat a mouthful with a bite of hot dog. And no, I didn’t like it. It was kind of gritty in my teeth. The next day we went to Cascade Springs, where I was able to walk around and see some water.
Maybe next time I go camping, Daddy will let me help him put up the tent!

That picture in the bike trailer is priceless! It’s fun when they’re good little campers!!!
I loved this post Aurora you are my hero! Your pictures light up my day.
Great story telling! And such a fun subject. Love the pictures!!
Aurora you made me laugh. Sure glad you kept Charlie calm. You are a doll! Tell your Mom that she did a great job on the background!
