I think Aurora has earned a big round of applause for the great work she did on her posts last week (trucks, camping, food, reading, and her bucket.)
I see a bright writing future ahead for her.
As a side note, a few things about this picture:
- She chooses her outfits every day. She loves this one because it has a monkey on it. (It’s kind of hard to see, but the ear and partial head on the right belong to a cute monkey.)
- When you ask her “where’s your monkey?” She holds her hands up elbow length in what I’ll call the “huh? pose.” She then grabs the monkey with one hand and points to it with the other.
- Cassie has the same outfit. You can ask her “where’s Cassie’s monkey?” and she’ll go and grab the monkey on Cassie’s shirt.
- She found the headband in my drawer and kept trying to put it on. She finally asked for help, but ran away before I could get it on all the way (as in looking decent.) She wore it like this for most of the day.
- I wish I had her sense of style. I didn’t realize how good the headband looked with the outfit until I looked at this picture.
- You can see the two canine teeth that had just cut through. Finally. Let me tell you, not fun to cut those teeth. She would usually get really flush in the face and a little fussy while cutting teeth, but these were miserable. To put it bluntly, it’s nice to have my happy baby back. And with her whole set of teeth. (By the way, I get a lot of comments about how many teeth she has. Is it unusual to have the whole set at 18 months?)
- I can’t get enough of this face. I know I’m biased, but man, she’s adorable.

Teeth can start coming in after one month of development but don’t always even show til 18 months, so it looks like she is right on schedule.
I agree she is adorable! I can’t get enough of that face either!
Adelaide,
I LOVE the tribute to your in-laws. They are really special people and I am so happy that you were married into such a great family. Cute pictures!
Congrats Rick & Jill!
